2014 Reunion
Well, what a night.
A huge thank you to the Hartleys and Tinworths for the hard work they put into bring together the 1964 POM team for the 50 year anniversary. Their work bolstered our numbers this year and saw a crowd not seen since the early '90's when our get togethers were a lunchtime gathering at the Leagues Club. A very respectable 119 attendees!
’50 Years On’ Reunion
This year we also had a number of people (65 with partners) attending our Annual Reunion function celebrating 50 years since they worked together in Port Moresby office during the period
1964 to 1966. A DVD was produced for the occasion, which included photographs of all those in attendance at the reunion, and demonstrated the experience they shared as it was so many years ago.
People travelled from Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and New South Wales to celebrate this milestone, and the celebration continued with a 4 hour luncheon harbour cruise the following day.
The gathering was a huge success, with people cementing that everlasting bond developed so many years ago, and rekindling old and valued friendships.
Some have already indicated their intention to attend, and are looking forward to next year’s Annual Reunion on 18 September 2015.
