Wales/Westpac Ex-PNG/Pacific Staff Reunion
The Papua New Guinea operation commenced with our first branch opening in Port Moresby, Papua on the 10th May 1910. It was quickly followed on the 15th June by a branch at Samarai, a small island off the eastern tip of New Guinea and a trading centre for the neighbouring groups of islands.
